My association with the charity was to assist with voluntary work and I am now part of the committee. The website is hosted and managed by the charity after the redesign and development last year (2016). The website is a bespoke design using the Bootstrap framework. I have added some animations for pages that add a little extra style which makes it less static. The aim was to keep the home page as minimal as possible for visitors. Each section then leads to sub pages with more details.
It was important to keep visitors on the site and previously when prompting people to donate would go to a different website and leave the Thorne Mason Trust. It is important to keep customer data safe at all times. I setup a secure payment system to protect customer data. They can fill out the form on the donation page with peace of mind. The site does not have a blog but the charity puts on events and fundraising activities and are very pro active. These events pages have a carousel that has easy to access light box effect popups that quickly give all the information required to visitors. Apart from the website the Thorne Mason Trust has a lots of community support and a large social media following.
